Pancake with jam

Ingredients (makes around 20 pancakes)

50 g butter, plus more for the pan
300 g milk
2 eggs
200 g flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Icing sugar for dusting
Jam of your choice


1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.

2. Beat the eggs and sugar until foamy. Add the melted butter and mix together. Mix the flour and baking powder and sieve into the mixture. Mix everything together.

3. To make the pancakes, melt 1/2 teaspoon butter in a frying pan on a moderate heat. For each pancake, add 1 ladleful of the mixture to the pan and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Flip and cook for another minute. Turn the pancake onto a plate and keep warm. Cook the remaining pancakes in the same way.

4. Dust with icing sugar to taste, and enjoy with a jam of your choice.
