The Bavarian State Government awarded the Bavarian Export Prize for the 16th time and we were delighted to receive this special award as winner in the category "Genussland" (Country of Pleasure).
The prize was awarded to small and medium-sized companies with up to 100 full-time employees that have successfully tapped into international markets, especially in these difficult times for the global economy, and are beacons of the "Made in Bavaria" seal of quality.
A short film about Maintal was made on the occasion of the award ceremony. This look behind the scenes can be viewed on YouTube.
In the course of the nationwide competition "Successful Women in Small and Medium-Sized Businesses" for the second time remarkable female founders, successors and managing directors were honoured. Anne Feulner was one of the six award winners who convinced the jury. The award winners have in common their great and ongoing commitment to the compatibility of family and working life as well as sustainability in the company.
Our Managing Director and great-granddaughter of the founder, Anne Feulner, was pleased to receive a very special award. She was one of 15 personalities to be awarded a certificate and the state medal for outstanding achievements to the Bavarian economy during a ceremonial act of state. Hubert Aiwanger, the Bavarian Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Regional Development, paid special tribute to her outstanding entrepreneurial activities and social commitment.
Maintal Konfitüren already achieved the jury stage for the 9th time. As a finalist in the Großer Preis des Mittelstandes (grand prix of medium-sized companies), Maintal is one of Bavaria’s 13 most exemplary and best mid-size companies. The Großer Preis des Mittelstandes, which is awarded by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation, has been a coveted award for many years, and is regarded as Germany’s most important and renowned business prize. Only around one in every thousand companies in Germany is even nominated for it.
The sustainable use of natural resources and the preservation of ecological functionality have been among the top company goals at Maintal Konfitüren for years. Just like the long-term up-holding of the family business and the social commitment in the region. The business magazine Focus has already honoured this commitment twice and has chosen Maintal as one of "Germany's most valuable companies".
Once again Maintal Konfitüren convinced by its family friendliness. We are pleased that the Bavarian Ministry of Work and Economy awarded us as one of the most family friendly companies in Bavaria. An all-around package with lots of offers for an ideal compatibility of work and family and an equitably a harmonious work-life-balance convinced the jury.
A seal says more than a thousand words: With the “Wirtschaftsmagnet” seal, companies can document that they excel in seven areas, from business performance or innovative force right through to social responsibility. The seal attests that Maintal Konfitüren is one of the strongest medium-sized companies and has a particularly magnetic attraction.
Three cheers for the gourmet region of Franconia in the “Franken kulinarisch” (culinary Franconia) awards. For the 15th time now, awards went to men and women from the whole of Franconia who have made an outstanding contribution to Franconia’s gourmet culture. In 2017, Maintal managing director Anne Feulner was one of the seven prize-winners and was named “Jam Connoisseur of the Year”.
Repeat award-winner: For many years, Maintal Konfitüren has devoted itself to an HR policy that takes account of both professional and personal challenges and establishes a good work-life balance. Maintal is one of the pioneers of the “Initiative Familienorientierte Personalpolitik” (initiative for family-oriented HR policy), an initiative founded in 2007 by the Schweinfurt Employment Agency and the administrative district of Schweinfurt.
Maintal has won multiple awards in the social sphere and is an attractive employer in the region when it comes to family friendliness. For two years in a row, Maintal was the winner in the category “50-250 Employees”, particularly as a result of its family-friendly and flexible work culture.
