1 tbsp. olive oil
1 red onion, finely chopped
½ tsp. fleur de sel or salt
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
100 g Maintal Rosehip Preserve Extra
50 ml white balsamic vinegar
100 g red pepper, finely diced
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. chilli flakes
Zest of half an organic lemon
1. Heat the oil in a small saucepan. Add the onion and garlic. Add the fleur de sel or salt and fry for 10 minutes on a moderate heat.
2. Add the rosehip preserve, diced pepper, soy sauce, vinegar, lemon zest and chilli flakes to the pan. Simmer, so that it is just bubbling, and after 20 minutes the delicious chutney is ready.
Tip: If you prefer a finer texture, you can also blend the mixture, which then also makes a fantastic barbecue sauce.
